Legally Binding Agreement
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sakina. By creating an account or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Sakina.
1. Eligibility
To use Sakina, you must meet the following requirements:
- •Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old. By using Sakina, you confirm that you are of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
- •Marital Status: You must be legally single (unmarried, divorced, or widowed) and seeking marriage in accordance with Islamic principles.
- •Intent: You must have genuine intentions of seeking a halal marriage through our platform.
- •Account Limitation: You may only maintain one active Sakina account at a time.
- •Restrictions: You must not have been previously banned from Sakina or convicted of any violent crime, sexual offense, or crime involving fraud.
2. Account Registration
When creating your Sakina account, you agree to:
- • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- • Update your profile information to keep it accurate and current
- • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
Verification: We may require identity verification at any time. Providing false information may result in immediate account termination.
3. Community Guidelines
Sakina is a platform built on respect, sincerity, and Islamic values. All users must adhere to these guidelines:

- • Be honest and respectful in all interactions
- • Communicate with sincere intentions
- • Report suspicious or inappropriate behavior
- • Respect other users' boundaries and preferences
- • Use appropriate, modest language
DO NOT
- • Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- • Share explicit or inappropriate content
- • Use the platform for non-marriage purposes
- • Misrepresent your identity or intentions
- • Solicit money from other users
4. Prohibited Conduct
The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination:
✗ Creating fake profiles or impersonating others
✗ Harassment, stalking, or threatening behavior
✗ Sharing sexually explicit, violent, or offensive content
✗ Scamming, phishing, or financial fraud
✗ Spamming or sending unsolicited commercial messages
✗ Using automated bots or scripts
✗ Attempting to access other users' accounts
✗ Reverse engineering or tampering with our platform
✗ Violating any applicable laws or regulations
✗ Promoting hatred based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or other protected characteristics
5. User Content
Regarding content you share on Sakina:
- •Ownership: You retain ownership of content you create, but grant Sakina a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it within our platform.
- •Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all content you post, including text, photos, and messages.
- •Moderation: We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without prior notice.
- •Photo Guidelines: All photos must be of yourself, appropriate, and not infringe on anyone's rights.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Service Provided "As Is"
Sakina is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Important Disclaimers
- •No Guarantee of Results: We do not guarantee that you will find a match, get married, or achieve any particular outcome through our service. Success depends on many factors beyond our control.
- •User Interactions: Sakina is not responsible for the conduct of any user on or off the platform. You agree to exercise caution and good judgment when interacting with other users.
- •Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sakina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
8. Safety & Security
Your safety is our priority. However, we encourage you to:
- • Never share financial information with other users
- • Meet in public places for initial meetings
- • Involve family members or a wali in the process as appropriate
- • Report any suspicious behavior immediately
- • Trust your instincts—if something feels wrong, discontinue contact
Reporting: To report a user or safety concern, use the in-app reporting feature or email support@sakina.app.
9. Account Termination
Regarding account termination:
- •By You: You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Some information may be retained as required by law or legitimate business purposes.
- •By Sakina: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
- •Effects: Upon termination, your right to use Sakina immediately ceases. We are not liable for any loss of data or access.
- •Appeals: If you believe your account was terminated in error, you may contact us at support@sakina.app.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Sakina—including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, software, and AI models—are owned by Sakina or its licensors and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our service without written permission. The Sakina name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Sakina.
11. Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@sakina.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Arbitration
If informal resolution fails, any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration conducted in Cairo, Egypt, in accordance with the rules of CRCICA.
Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class actions or class-wide arbitration.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
- • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- • Notify you via email or in-app notification
- • Provide at least 30 days' notice before significant changes take effect
Your continued use of Sakina after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using our service.
